MARK YEOMANS

Mark Yeomans is a Trustee for Friends of TS Queen Mary.

EXPERIENCE

Mark Yeomans is a Master Mariner Class II/I (Unlimited). He brings a wealth of knowledge to the board regarding all things nautical. Previous Nautical experience includes Bulk Carrier ships, General Cargo ships, LPG and LNG Tankers including refrigeration plant, DP (Dynamic Positioning) ships, Private super Yachts and Passenger ships. Mark also worked for a time with the MOD UK dealing with lost military objects and their recovery using both surface and sub sea vessels. His career started in Power Stations, commissioning feed water pumps, fire detection systems and calibration of electrical equipment. In the late 1990’s Mark took a career change to work with computer networks and web site development for small and very large global companies before returning to the sea.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Since re-joining The Friends of TS Queen Mary (FoTSQM) in 2019, Mark’s responsibilities include the safe movement of the ship, Setting up the new office in Govan, In charge of IT services, software and equipment plus online website with shop. Mark is also Head of Technical for the Charity.
